About
Kognix is a document-grounded AI assistant. You upload your PDFs, notes, and URLs — and every answer it gives is scoped exclusively to what you provided. No guessing, no hallucinations, no internet filler.
General-purpose AI tools are trained on the entire internet. They’re great for broad questions — but the moment you ask about your professor’s lecture slides or a specific company report, they guess to fill the gaps. Those guesses sound confident, but they’re not grounded in your source material.
Kognix was built to solve exactly that. It indexes only what you give it, retrieves only from what you uploaded, and cites every claim back to the original passage. If the answer isn’t in your documents, it says so.
Grounded by default
Every answer cites exactly where it came from. No answer means the material doesn’t cover it.
Your data stays yours
Documents are stored per-user. We never train on your uploads or share them.
Open source
The full stack is open source under the MIT licence. Run it yourself if you need to.
Simple and focused
Upload, ask, get cited answers. Nothing you don’t need.
